Dear DCSS Homeschool Families,
On Thursday, April 10 and Friday, April 11 your child will be participating in standardized testing as part of Dayton Christian Homeschool. This is a reminder to have your child at Patterson Park Church at 9:00 a.m. Pick-up time is 2:00 p.m. The students will meet in the gym and head to testing classrooms at 9:00 sharp. We will dismiss from the gym at the conclusion of testing day. As always, there is no uniform, so dress should be casual, comfortable, and modest. We will be going outside for recess if the weather permits!
At 9:15 a.m. on Thursday there will be a brief informational meeting for parents. This meeting will be held in the gym (opposite the Information Table) by Tara Lee, the Homeschool principal.
If your student ordered Chick-fil-A for lunch, it will be delivered to his or her room during the lunch period. If you have not yet paid for the lunch, please plan to do so at the Information Table in the morning during drop-off (cost is $5 per day per meal). If you did not sign up for a Chick-fil-A lunch, please bring a packed lunch. There is a short recess after the lunch period for the students. The recess will be outside, weather permitting.
Remember, the best preparation for your student is a good night’s rest and a healthy breakfast. You may also want to pack a snack for your student. Please bring two #2 pencils, and a book to read in case a test section is completed early.
If you child is sick the makeup testing days will be Tuesday, April 29th and/or Wednesday, April 30th depending on the portion missed. Notices will be sent to those who are ill on testing day.
If you have any questions, please contact Dayton Christian Homeschool. Remember that testing is a snapshot. It does not give you or your student their identity! Identity needs to be rooted in Jesus Christ alone! Looking forward to the morning!
