Dayton Christian School System
Educating for Eternity
Dear Homeschool Families,
Our homeschool families and program are very important to us and a vital part of the tremendous legacy of Dayton Christian School System. Because of this, we have taken the utmost care to select an amazing team of individuals to help you homeschool your children–at home, but not alone.
We are excited to announce that we have hired a director, as well as an associate director, both of whom God has blessed with amazing and uniquely different gifts and talents which will definitely strengthen our current efforts to provide excellent academic support and direction for our program.
Please know that it is my strongest desire to inform you today of the new director’s name; however, I am honoring her request to make this announcement after she has had the opportunity to inform her immediate family, some of whom are currently away on a trip. Both she and her husband are very excited to come on board and are anxious as well to announce the acceptance of her new role.
I can tell you that our new director has 10 years of personal experience homeschooling her children as well as 9 years of experience in the traditional classroom and that given her current commitments, she will assume her duties as director the week of July 14.
Krystal Cox is our new Associate Director with 9 years of homeschool experience and 3 years within the Dayton Christian School System. She is a proven servant with a caring heart to counsel and minister to families. She brings strong organizational gifts and an understanding and true love of homeschooling.
These two incredible leaders both hold master’s degrees, but most importantly they are equipped with vision, passion, heart, and dedication to perpetuate our homeschool program into the future with the flexibility and credibility you deserve. Our ability to minister to our homeschool families with integrity and excellence was a key element in hiring the new leadership. That goal has been achieved.
In conclusion, embracing change is sometimes challenging and can create concern, but I am reminded of Paul when he wrote in 1 Thessalonians 5:18: “In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” I would ask that we rejoice and give thanks together for God’s provision and blessing of our great homeschool program and for the new leadership He has bestowed.
Within the next few days you will be hearing more from our new homeschool leadership team.
Gratefully in Christ,
Robert M. Elliott
