Hello families of Lego students!! I hope all of your students have shared with you what we have been building and discussing in Lego class this semester. This last time in class I presented a project for the upcoming EXCEL class, Friday, December 4. I have included it below so you may help and encourage your student(s) accordingly. Two of the classes require bringing personal creations from home and I wanted to give some suggestions on how to make that run smoothly on class day. If you would have them put their creation in a shoebox labeled with their name and class (WeDo 5th/6th), LearntoLearn (1st/2nd), or Faith Builders (3rd/4th). When your student arrives at EXCEL we will have a cart on which they will place their box to keep them “safe” during the rest of the day. After class they will return the box to the cart to be picked up with you at the door upon pick-up at the end of the day.
Details of the projects are in the links below, but the gist is creating something from scratch related to something they are studying/reading at home and presenting it to us in class. I plan to video tape some of them to be included in the end-of-the-year Excelebration, so please encourage your students in their speaking skills (i.e. clearly, loudly and looking at the audience).
I have enjoyed working with your children and look forward to what they come up with at home!!
