Helping Hands Service Day – Ongoing Opportunity for Service (last Weds. of each month) 1:30pm – 4:30pm:  224 Maple Ave, Miamisburg, OH 45342

DC Homeschool will provide up to 10 volunteers for a monthly afternoon shift at Helping Hands. Parents are expected to stay with their children unless other arrangements are made. To best serve this organization, volunteers should be ages 8 and up.

Laser Quest, Sept. 14th 12:00pm:   201 E. Alex-Bell Rd. Centerville, OH 45459

The Lasers and Mazes program is designed as an exciting two hour field trip that introduces students to the fascinating world of laser light and the history of mazes.  Students will learn: A history of laser light and the history of mazes, Lasers as a form of light, The characteristics and properties of lasers, How lasers are used in our society, The different types of mazes, and How mazes are a part of our everyday life.  $10.00 per participant

Aullwood Audubon Center, Oct. 5th 10:00am:  1000 Aullwood Rd, Dayton, OH 45414

Farmyard Adventure – Explore croplands, herb and vegetable gardens, visit farm animals and a century-old barn.  $5.00/adult  $4.00/student

COSI, Oct. 26th, 10:00am:  333 W Broad St, Columbus, OH 43215

COSI provides an exciting and informative atmosphere for those of all ages to discover more about our environment, our accomplishments, our heritage, and ourselves. We motivate a desire toward a better understanding of science, industry, health, and history through involvement in exhibits, demonstrations, and a variety of educational activities and experiences. COSI is for the enrichment of the individual and for a more rewarding life on our planet, Earth.  $10.00/person

 Golden Lamb, Nov. 8th 11:30am:  27 S Broadway St, Lebanon, OH 45036

Enjoy the rich history of the Golden Lamb and discover how it relates to the election.  Learn about the 12 presidents and candidates that have visited the Golden Lamb.  Field Trip includes lunch and a tour.  $15.00 person

Dayton Art Institute, Dec. 8th 11:00am:  456 Belmonte Park N, Dayton, OH 45405

Art RangersClues help students find objects from diverse cultures used for daily life, ceremony, and adornment. Includes a workshop where students will create and embellish a special pouch to hold small reproductions of artwork from the tour.  $7.00/student; No charge for adults.

 Airstream Factory Tour, Feb. 15th 2:00pm:  419 W Pike St, Jackson Center, OH 45334

Take a Factory Tour, Ever wonder how an Airstream is made? Come see how we craft every piece of the Airstream Travel Trailers, and how we really do put every one of those rivets in by hand.  The tour includes a ¾ mile walk, beginning in the service lobby. Eye protection and hearing protection required; no sandals or open-toed shoes, please.  Free

 Dayton Philharmonic, March 7th 11:20am:  1 W 2nd St, Dayton, OH 45402

Celebrate the influence of Hispanic culture on the music of the orchestra.  Composers of all nationalities have been drawn to the appeal of this strong tradition, proving that music truly is “the universal language.”  Concert will feature guest artist from the Dayton Opera and Dayton Ballet.  $5.00/person

Paul Brown Stadium Tour, April 3rd 10:00am or 11:00am:  1 Paul Brown Stadium, Cincinnati, OH 45202

Paul Brown Stadium is a top-notch sports stadium located in Cincinnati, Ohio. It is the home venue of the Cincinnati Bengals of the National Football League. It opened on August 19, 2000. The stadium was named after Bengals’ founder Paul Brown. $10.00/adult $7.00/student

 Camp Jabez Service Project, April 25th 10:00am – 2:00pm:  3191 OH-380, Xenia, OH 45385

DC Homeschool will be working at Camp Jabez in whatever capacity we can to support their ministry.  If you can’t stay the whole time, that’s fine!  Please plan to join us for as much as you can! DC Homeschool 5th – 8th graders are invited to go on a farm-style overnight trip that includes horseback riding, bonfire, farm chores, hayride, rope climbing, challenge course, barn dance, and farm cooked meals!  $75.00/student

 Fort Ancient, May 16th 12:00pm:  6123 OH-350, Oregonia, OH 45054

Fun and access to all that Fort Ancient has to offer!  Tour will begin with an orientation of Fort Ancient in the classroom. Students will also explore over 75 objects in the classroom, and scavenger hunt materials will be provided to complete the Museum tour at a pace that best suits your family.  We will meet at 12:00 for lunch (please pack) and trail hiking.  Tour and other activities will begin at 1:00.  $5.00/person
